Grand Unified Theory solved

[caption id="" align="alignleft" width="300" caption="From AP"][/caption] The Grand Unified Theory is one of the great quests of physics for the past 100 years. Light works like this (little particle-waves, no medium needed), magnetism like this, protons like this, electrons like this, gravity like this-- each field of physics has separate pockets of study and explanation. There is yet no unified theory of everything. The great theory that will explain all of them in one theory is the Grand Unified Theory, yet undiscovered. I want to say something shocking, bold, and probably offensive to all modern physics: when I was age 22 God revealed to me the common bond that powers everything--light, particles, sound, planetary motion, nuclear fusion, atomic bonding.  I was not on a mission to write the Grand Unified Theory*, but only thinking about it occasionally.

The theory

Here it is: the common force behind and sustaining of all these fields is a man, God the Son, Jesus Christ.  He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. That's it--Jesus Christ.  He upholds the universe by the word of his power. Crap. How did the Bible get involved with the answer to the Holy Grail of all modern physics?  "What a bunch of religious hookyness!", right? Sometimes a wise God hides the answers to our great questions right in front our face to show the absurd foolishness of seeking knowledge apart from God.

A daring implication

The implication of this, that a man is the Grand Unified Theory, is both exciting enough to make learning passionate again; and scary enough for us to use all our brain's power to deny the truth. Exciting enough, because if you love to study and learn; you will love to spend un-ending decades and centuries plumbing the genius and mystery of creation with loving acceptance from its Creator. Scary enough because if Jesus created all things, he owns you completely, and there is rightful fear in realizing you've sinned against him all your life.  Like I have.

What now?

But if you are scared, you are qualified to receive your personal justification directly from God as a gift.  This Jesus, who made all matter, will judge you.  But this judge has also died the death you deserve to die, so that you do not have to eternally die for an eternal eternity.** You can live, because of Jesus, and spend forever plumbing the depths of God; enjoying his character and creation, finding out more and more, and being satisfied. *The answer "Jesus Christ" does not answer every secondary question to understand the unity of physics, but it's the beginning and end of the answer, to which the details are just details Also, I am not the first or last person to know this.  It's the teaching of the Bible. **an eternal eternity of eternal eternities to be more precise
